Characteristics of electroplating production wastewater:
The waste water discharged in electroplating production is characterized by many kinds and complex in quality. In addition to containing cyanide and acid and alkali, it contains a variety of heavy metals and various types of surfactant, citric acid, EDTA, thiourea, acetylene diol, coumarin and other brighteners, additives.
Existed problems in current treatment:
Adsorption is one of the important physical methods to remove metal ions from electroplating waste water. In the traditional process, adsorbents such as diatomite and activated carbon are used. The regeneration efficiency of this kind of adsorbent is low, and the treated effluent is difficult to meet the reuse standard.
